Video 1 From Cusco to Tipón
After leaving the airport, we went south-east fo fly over the ruins of Tipón, quite an unknown place but with great terraces and in a beautiful setting. |
Video 2 Entering the Sacred Valley
After flying over the beautiful lake Huacarpay, we flew over the ruins of Pikillacta, than entered the Sacred Valley of the Incas. After the Sanctuary of Huanca, we flew several times over the great ruins of Pisac. Than further on flying over the capital of the sacred valley, Calca, and along the sacred mountain Pitusiray. |
Video 3 Further into the Valley
Further to the north-west, we flew over the city of Urubamba, and than to the ancient salt terraces of Manta and the amazing round terraces of Moray. |
Video 4 To Machu Picchu and back
After flying over Ollantaytambo we headed for Machu Picchu, although the climate changed. We had luck that the clouds opened for a moment, to see the site from above. After Machu Picchu we turned back towards Cusco, to fly along the Veronica mountain, ovre Chinchero and the ruins of Sacsayhuaman just north of Cusco. |
